Cetatile Ponorului (Ponor Fortress Circuit) and Crossing the Cave
The Ponor Fortress Circuit: This circuit route allows you to visit the most spectacular and grandiose karst complex in the Apuseni Mountains – Cetatile (Fortresses of) Ponor – rock formation that resemble fortresses.
This trail is in some places with high difficulty.
The circuit: Dolina I (ravine) – then the monumental gate, the great portal of Ponorului cave and then, if the weather and the water level allow it, we make a spectacular, addrenaline rich and fun crossing of the cave – Dolina II (ravine, optional) – Dolina III(ravine) – The Balconies (scenic view) – Fortress Valley – Arieseni. Total trek time 5-7 hours.

Day 3:
Breakfast.
Ponor Circuit: Padis Chalet – Poiana Ponor – I Dolina – Portal Ponor – Dolina II – Dolina III – Balconies – Camping Glăvoi – Padis Chalet (5h).
Circuit route that allows visiting the most spectacular and grandiose karstic complex in the Apuseni Mountains – Ponor fortress. Trail difficulty sometimes raised.
Day 4:
Sunken Village and return home
Breakfast then return home, but not without first visiting the tailings lake at Geamana with his sunken village the tower of the old church rising from its poisoned waters.
Difficulty:
Medium to easy trek, but with some short very difficult or technical parts. Tourists participants must have a good physical condition and have minimal experience on the mountain.
Attention! Specific on mountains, we can expect a sudden worsening of weather!

Day 1: In the heart of Danube Delta.
Transfer by private bus from Bucharest or Brasov to Tulcea
Boat trip on the Dunarea Veche (Old Danube Channel) to Mila 23, a fishing village right in the heart of Danube Delta.
Accommodation at a beautiful guesthouse
Day 2: Sand dunes at Letea forest
Boat transport to the Chilia Veche village and then to Letea forest. Trekking through the Letea Forest sand dunes in the search of the so beautiful but so elusive herds of wild horses.
In the afternoon we return to the guesthouse.

Day 3: Through the heart of the Danube Delta
Boat trip in circuit through the heart of the Danube Delta. Amazing scenery, many lakes and channels, countless birds, flowers, an absolute, ultimate delight for photographers and nature lovers.

Day 4: Day 4: Where the Danube meets the Sea: Sulina and St Gheorghe
Breakfast then transfer by speed boat to Sulina town, an old city port, located right where the Danube empties into the waters of the Black Sea.
We make a short trip on sea, then we return to Sulina city. We visit the old lighthouse and the town. Enjoy some spare time for a meal, beer or coffee on the bank of the Danube, and then we’re getting on back the boat and cruise among canals and marshes to the small and picturesque fishing village of St. George. Accommodation at the guesthouse and then leisure. Enjoy the secluded and quiet beach.
Day 5: Visiting the Pelicans
We will sail on the canals to Meleaua (small sand island) Sahalin where we will meet large colonies of pelicans and other birds. Return for lunch then beach time!

Day 6: Returning home
Breakfast and transfer to Tulcea by boat and then to Bucharest by bus.
Option: if enough time, we will visit the ruins of the ancient roman fortress Histria

On different levels of vegetation, between 7 and 467 m – the hightest point, Tutuiatu Peak, we meet the unique steppe landscapes on the slopes, followed by forests with oak, flowering ash, hornbeam and downy oak, leading to bushes on the peaks and cliffs, and steppe-looking alpine meadows.

Ceahlau – Ascent to The Mythical Mountain
Excursion to the Ceahlau Mountains – Shadow of the Pyramid
3 days / 2 nights – 350 lei
Day 1:
Departure from Brasov at 8 o’clock. Around 14 o’clock we will go from Durau to Cabana Fantanele on a route of 1.5-2 hours. After passing through the impressive Panaghia rock we continue the route to Cabana Dochia (2-2.30 hours), where we will be staying for the next two nights. After leaving the luggage at the cabin, if time permits, we make a tour to the Great Ocolas (1907 m). Return to Dochia Cottage

Day 2:
Awakening early in the morning, before sunrise, to climb the Toaca peak. From here we will see the famous phenomenon called the Shadow of the Pyramid. We then went down to the Izvorul Muntelui Chalet (3.30-4 hours). From here we return on another route to Cabana Dochia (4-4.30 hours).
Day 3:
We descend to Durau on the route that goes on to Duruitoarea waterfall (4-4.30 hours).

Maybe the most beautiful mountain in Romania, Retezat, the blue eyes mountain.
– RETEZAT MOUNTAINS DESCRIPTION –
Retezat is the most complex and magnificent mountain massif in all sectors of the Romanian Carpathians.. Originality lies in the existence of spectacular alpine increase above 2000 m high and a sculptural relief in which traces were printed two major glaciations (Riss and Wurm), making the existence of a strong observed climate modeling, as stage (Alpine erosion platform Borascu River plain, Gornoviţa).
National reservation Retezat – Biosphere Reserve is located in the western Carpathians, covering an area of 38,138 ha of Retezat-Godeanu.
In its interior there are twenty peaks over 2000 m and over 80 glacial lakes, including the largest glacial lake in the country. The park is renowned for its diversity of flora and fauna, home to nearly 1190 species of higher plants, 130 rare or vulnerable plant, 50 mammal species, 168 species of birds, 9 species of reptiles, amphibians 5 species.

THE ROUTE – 4 DAYS
TREKKING RETEZAT MOUNTAINS
Day 1 – Transfer with private bus from Brasov or Sibiu, to Retezat National Park
Brasov – Sibiu -Hateg – Ohaba de sub Piatra – Cârnic.
Here begins our expedition in Retezat, the first National Park established in Romania, one of the most beautiful mountain areas of Romania. Here are the most glacial lakes in the country, among them being the deepest, Zanoaga, the largest, Bucura, or Taul Portii – the highest altitude lake.
From Carnic we will start the ascent to Chalet Pietrele at 1.480m, entering the Retezat National Park.
About 2 hours trek. Accommodation at chalet Pietrele, and dinner.
Day 2: Retezat Peak – 7-9 hours trek
Breakfast, then strating the trek.
Chalet Pietrele – Lolaia ridge – Retezat peak 2.482m – here we reach the limit of the Scientific Reserve – Retezat saddle – Stanisoara Valley – Pietrele Chalet
Total trek 7-9 hours

Alternative trek for day 2:

Total trek time: 10-12 hours

Day 4: A short trek and then return home.
Breakfast then a short nice trek: Pietrele Chalet – Galesului Valley – Taul dintre Brazi Lake – Pietrele Chalet. Total trek 3-4 hours.
Descending to Cârnic village.
Bus and return home.
On the way back to Brasov or Sibiu, we will visit Hateg Bison Reserve and/or Alba Iulia Citadel City.
